Dublin City University
Through the Dublin City University Educational Trust, the One51 Foundation is sponsoring a Law and Intercultural Workplace Project Masters Studentship.
- Through the DCU Intercultural Workplace Project the One51 Foundation is responding in particular to the recent National Action Plan against Racism that establishes a structured approach to combating racism and discrimination in Ireland.
- Planning for Diversity is based on the understanding that racism is a challenge to social cohesion and stability in any country, and that Ireland must seek to become a more inclusive and intercultural society.
- The specific aim of the Intercultural Workplace Project is to further understanding of the complexity and breadth of workplace diversity issues and to provide insights into emerging trends in the field of diversity and inclusion.
- Ms Elizabeth Yuko is the LLM researcher who has been awarded the two years Masters Studentship.
The One51 Foundation is also in support of the Paddy Wright Memorial Scholarship Fund and the DCU Access Scholarship Programme.
- A memorial Access Scholarship was established in 2008 in memory of former Trustee and friend of DCU, Paddy Wright. Mr. Wright was an exceptionally gifted businessman who gave generously of his time and expertise to support DCU at a critical time in its development. His leadership of the DCU Educational Trust helped the university to develop its campus and its activities and made a major contribution to the growing international status of DCU.
- The One51 Foundation supports DCU’s Access Programme through the Paddy Wright Scholarship Fund.
- The DCU Access Scholarship Programme provides talented students from disadvantaged backgrounds with the opportunity of a third level education. DCU currently has over 400 students participating in the programme from all over the country.
