Amnesty
- Financial support from the One51 Foundation to Amnesty International Irish Section is contributing to the development of a new Human Rights Action Centre in Dublin.
- This centre aims to encourage, inspire and educate a new generation of human rights activists. The centre will house a training and education centre, a conference centre with seating for up to 100 people and an action and resource centre where people can react immediately to human rights violations.
- Support of campaigning and activism through this new Human Rights Action Centre is anticipated to increase the ability of Amnesty International to become an even more powerful voice for change globally and in Ireland giving them the capacity to deliver high-impact human rights programmes.
- Construction of the Human Rights Action Centre is expected to be completed by the end of 2009.
